Instructions on Peer Editing:
1. Do read through the Sample essay carefully before commenting.
2. Focus on the key Plot elements first (Problem; Characterisation; Settings).
3. Do give Clear, Specific and Constructive comments. Identify problems clearly (e.g. by using the Paragraph numbers) and suggest solutions. Point out Illogical parts and ask constructive Questions. Be kind to your classmates; give praise where it is due. You may use the Elements of Reasoning and Intellectual Standards extensively to achieve Clarity in in your descriptions.
4. Point out obvious Language errors such as: awkward expressions; wrong tense usage; unclear or strange word choices/ connotations; SPG (spelling; punctuation; grammar) errors.
(Do not waste your time/effort giving frivolous or unconstructive comments.)
5. Class Register numbers 1-15 will begin editing from Sample 1 (forwards).
6. Class Register numbers 16-26 will begin editing from Sample 26 (backwards).
7. If you identify an essay as your own, you may skip that sample.
8. Comment on each essay at least once.
Comment posting instructions:
1. Click on the Comment link at the bottom of each Sample essay.
2. Under Comment As, choose Name/URL. Enter your name and click Continue (leave the URL field blank).
3. Click on Post Comment (you should then see your comment appear at the end of the sample).
(Anonymous and inappropriate comments will be deleted by the Moderator.)
